Welcome to Year 4
Mrs Howarth and Mrs Little are the class teachers. Miss Welsh supports Year 4 with their learning.
Forest school this year will be taking place on a Tuesday morning with Mrs David and teaching staff. Please ensure children have their wellies, in a named bag, and a warm navy sweatshirt for the potentially cold weather. Please note: Forest School uniform is navy blue tracksuit bottoms and a white polo t-shirt. We supply the waterproof, thorn and nettle proof bib-and-brace and jackets.
Our P.E. lessons will normally be on a Wednesday or Friday afternoon. While the weather is mild their indoor kit with trainers will be fine. If there is a bit of a chill then their school cardigan or sweatshirt will be enough to put on top. If the weather gets colder then it would be a good idea to send in a pair of tracksuit bottoms to keep at school. We hope to be outside for the majority of this term so warmer kit is essential.
Please ensure that your child has the correct kit in school every day as there may be times when PE is taught on a different day.
Lessons are generally delivered in a cross-curricular way which means that children can learn about a topic through a range of different subjects. This keeps the children engaged and allows children to access their learning in a fun way.
As this is the children's last year at Feckenham First School there will be a real emphasis on getting the children ready for their next school. This will include transition days and activities and preparing the children academically and emotionally for the next step in their school lives.
